Bertha

Bertha is a lively and curious chick who was found abandoned in the middle of the road and brought to Preetirang Sanctuary to be cared for.

Bertha was found abandoned on a hot summer day in Fairfield California. He was found by animal rights activist Jewliette Pearson & friends. A local farmer next to the road she was found in was made aware of her presence and didn’t seem to care whether she lived or died, so lucky Bertha was brought to Preetirang Sanctuary on their second year anniversary. How auspicious. Bertha is one of the lucky ones- he will never have his beak sheared, he will never be killed and made into “food”,
he will never know cruelty or unkindness. He has already stolen all of our hearts with his vivacity and zest for life!
